My husband and I recently booked a private one day trip to Kanchanaburi through iDaytrip. Because my husband had already been to the Bridge on the river Kwai and Death Railway, I asked Pattara from iDaytrip to recommend something unique for the morning portion of our trip. Thanks to Mas, our guide and Sam, our driver we spent the morning in the ancient Nang Loy makes totally off the beaten path. We then visited the Manneewong Family at their 150 year old traditional home and learned about their culture, traditions and food preparation. We even shared in making Kai Pad Khing, Tofu soup and an amazing Thai dessert. This totally authentic experience was the highlight of our trips. The elephant haven was also a must do. I would highly recommend booking your next Bangkok tours through iDaytrip. They are very flexible, have amazing, passionate staff and deliver first rate service.

We had an amazing day out in kanchanaburi with the perfect team - Mas leading the day. Amazing experience soaking up culture, rich history, great food and Mas’s attention to all details. She was great with my parents and flexible in adjusting the day activities to suit my parents! Highly recommended and we cannot stop talking about the trip to friends and family!

This is a great day trip tour if you are only in Thailand for a few days and want to get out of the city. They pick you up and drop you off at your designated hotel within BKK. The car transport is spacious and seeing the elephants was amazing. The elephant haven is a sanctuary for retired elephants where they Roam around freely, eat and play in the river. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

had an amazing day with our guide Nina..it was so nice to get out of the hustle and bustle of bangkok! Beautiful out in the countryside and the waterfalls was a jewel in the crown. The water was so clear and beautiful and it was such a great place with wildlife, walking paths, waterfalls and plenty of fish to nibble our feet! such a crazy feeling. We didn't think it could get better, but we went for lunch and it was so yummy and the scenery so cool. Nina took some great photos of us(during the whole trip actually) and then we went on the railway and to the buddy cave. After a bit of retail therapy we were off to the bridge over the river kwai. Just cool to be on such a historical site. Then off to the elephants . Ive never been that close to an elephant and even though it was a bit scary it was way cool.We felt very fortunate to be able to experience this. Our guide and driver were great and we had little stops along the way for toilet breaks and refreshments. The private tour was so good as it was just our group of four and the bus was very comfortable with air con and bottles of water. we felt very special.
